A semi collided with a pickup truck near Naubinway
NAUBINWAY -- The Mackinac County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal traffic crash on US-2. It happened at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday near Naubinway in Garfield Township.
Officials say a semi collided with a pickup truck near the top of the Lakes Rest Area. One of the drivers was killed; the other was taken to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital.
There were no passengers.
Names are not being released until family members are notified.
The accident shut down US-2 to one lane of traffic for several hours.
Sheriff's officials say more information will be released Wednesday.
