MARQUETTE -- Some information has been released about a two-car crash that sent five people to the hospital Monday night.

The crash took place at 11:10 p.m. at the US-41 and Grove Street intersection, according to the Marquette City Police Department.

A 19-year-old Crystal Falls man disregarded the flashing red light.  He pulled into the path of a pickup.  The truck hit and t-boned the car, sending it into a spin.  The force of that spin caused two female passengers to be ejected from the car.

All persons in the car were sent to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.  At this time, it's hoped that all of them will recover.  However, one woman broke both of her legs and another has a reported head injury.  Their conditions are being closely watched.

Nobody in the truck reported any injuries.

At this time, names are not being released pending further investigation.
