LANSING (AP) -- A free mobile application is offering information on Michigan parks, campgrounds and boat launches.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says the official "MI Camping and Recreation Locator" app launched last week. The app lets people search for state parks, forest campgrounds and boat launches by region, city or proximity, and provides detailed information about them.
The state says it's available via BlackBerry App World, Android Market and Apple's App Store.
The app was developed by the DNR and the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
