This is the 26th year for the International Food Fest
MARQUETTE -- Twelve vendors are bringing international flavor to Lower Harbor in Marquette this weekend. The Marquette Exchange Club has sponsored the event for most of that time.
This year's food fest features cuisine from around the world, like oriental, Cajun, and Italian. It's a huge fund-raiser, benefitting between 50 and 60 area organizations.
Since the Exchange Club took over, members estimate they've raised about $750,000.
"To give back to the community is one of our main organizational goals is to give money," says Exchange Club member Geno Angeli. "It's important that the community sees that a club, such as this, organizes these events for charities."
If you missed the International Food Fest Saturday, you're in luck. It runs through Monday evening.
There's also lots of entertainment for the family to enjoy, including an ice cutter from the U.S. Coast Guard, which is docked in Lake Superior, and live music.
