MARQUETTE -- A traffic stop on Presque Isle Avenue in Marquette has led to the arrest of three people and the discovery of a house believed to be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Marquette County Sheriff's deputies stopped an SUV Thursday morning which was suspected to contain drugs.  Authorities say they found methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, illegal prescription drugs, and a loaded .22 cal rifle.

They arrested all three occupants, a 54-year-old Big Bay man, a 20-year-old Big Bay man, and a 42-year-old Marquette woman.  Their names have not been released.

The traffic stop led to a search warrant being conducted at a home in Big Bay where authorities say they found evidence of methamphetamine production.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.
