IRON COUNTY -- A 41-year-old woman was ejected from her pickup truck in a rollover accident, shortly before the vehicle burst into flames.

The Iron County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash on County Road 424 around 8:27 p.m. on Tuesday.

The driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of her truck, left the road, and struck a tree.  She was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.  The vehicle then burst into flames, according to authorities.

The woman was taken to North Star Health Systems in Iron River, then transported to Marquette General Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation and updates will be posted here on our website.

The name of the woman is not being released at this time.
