MUNISING -- A Trenary man is on trial, accused of seriously injuring a woman by running her over with his snowmobile while driving drunk.

The prosecution called four witnesses Tuesday in the case of 26-year-old Nathan Curry.

In February 2010, Curry's sled ran over a then 20-year-old Kyriea Schultz, who took the stand.  In tearful testimony, Schultz claimed Curry was so intoxicated, she offered to drive his sled for him.

Another witness who was at the scene of the accident also testified that Curry was driving his sled recklessly the night of the incident.

"I thought he had too much to drink, that's why I asked him if he was okay to drive.  He was kind of just falling off; I don't know if he was just messing around on the bank or if he actually was drunk.  That's why I asked him," said witness Brandon Lancour.

Schultz suffered from a punctured lung, as well as rib, back and liver injuries.  The defense pointed out the victim has made a full recovery.

The trial is expected to end Wednesday.
