He sexually assaulted three children on the Bay Mills Indian Community reservation
MARQUETTE -- An Escanaba man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting three children on the Bay Mills Indian Community reservation.
Christopher Frazier, 39, was sentenced in federal court.
U.S. District Court Judge R. Allan Edgar said the harsh sentence is intended to serve as a deterrent, not only to the defendant, but to the tribal community.
The judge said 50 percent of his time is devoted to sexual assault crimes on tribal land.
