MARQUETTE -- Hollywood meets Marquette this week, as casting auditions begin for the movie "Meteor" this Tuesday and Wednesday.
The film will be produced by the owner of the Upfront & Company, Rhys Mussman.
The majority of the picture will be shot in Marquette. Auditions will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 to 8 p.m. at Upfront and Company in historic downtown Marquette.
The movie is being directed by J.J. Azan, President of Cinema House based in Hollywood, California, and he's looking for actors to play a variety of parts and extras.
So how do you prepare for a movie audition?
"Sometimes you want to just go in and just read as yourself because you don't know what the director's going to want. They're very guarded with the script, and you don't know what you're going to get so you're going to get a cold reading which is you're going to say your name, they're going to hand you a script and probably do a screen test on you and see how you look," said Local Actor and DJ, Rusty Bowers.
Actors will be separated and given direction upon check-in at Upfront & Company.
Callbacks for casting auditions will be June 30.
