MENOMINEE -- The U.S. Army has still not released further information on the death of a Menominee soldier stationed at Fort Drum, New York.
According to a published report by the Watertown Daily Times, the Army will not say if Sgt. Mark Ackerman died of natural causes, homicide, or suicide.
His body was found in a Fort Drum barracks last week after he was reported missing for several days.
Autopsy results are being held awaiting toxicology reports, which could take up to eight weeks.
Ackerman's funeral is planned for this Saturday in Menominee.
