With the summer season upon us, that means it's time for the annual Lawnlympics at Van Riper State Park

CHAMPION -- This was the second year for the event.  Campers teamed up to participate in tournaments with games of bean bag toss, ladder golf, and horseshoe toss.

"Here, we do a lot of programs during the week, but then we have larger events during the weekend that both campers and locals and tourists coming through can all participate in, so, we just want everyone to have a good time and have a great experience here at Van Riper State Park," says explorer guide Shane Graves.

Winners received a wooden plaque with the event name engraved on it.  They also were entered into the state Lawnlympics tournament at Wells State Park.  While there, they'll get to enjoy a free weekend of camping.
