Motorcycle hit by car

ESCANABA -- An Escanaba man continues to recover after the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a car.  The crash happened Sunday night on Bay Shore Drive in Kipling.

The motorcycle driver, 48-year-old William Gartner, was trying to pass a car.

The driver of the car, 82-year-old Evelyn Leduc, suddenly turned left into the path of the motorcyclist.

Gartner was taken to OSF Saint Francis for treatment.

Leduc was given a citation for failure to yield, causing an accident.
