IRONWOOD (AP) -- A fire has caused heavy damage to a lumber products company located in an Ironwood industrial park.

The Daily Globe reports Friday's blaze ripped through the main Ottawa Forest Products building Friday afternoon.  The paper says damage likely will range into the millions.

Owner Val Mower says he isn't sure what caused the fire but praises the efforts of the Hurley and Ironwood firefighters who helped douse the blistering roof from high above the building.

Mower says about 45 people are employed at the lumber company.  The plant had been shut down Friday afternoon for maintenance.

Red Cross and Beacon Ambulance personnel responded, but there were no immediate injuries.
