GLADSTONE -- The Michigan State Police are investigating a crash that occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of County Roads 418 and 416.

The driver of the car, 62-year-old Howard St. John from Gladstone, failed to stop at a stop sign, according to police.  He crossed the intersection and was struck by 33-year-old Cornell resident Tina Kelloniemi's vehicle.

A two-year-old child in St. John's vehicle received minor injuries and was safely secured in a car seat.

Both St. John and Kelloniemi were taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital.  Kelloniemi was treated and released.  St. John was taken to Marquette General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
