MARQUETTE -- A woman is recovering from smoke inhalation after a fire in Marquette.

The Marquette City Fire Department received a call at 11:40 p.m. Thursday of a fire at 292 Whetstone Village.  It appears the fire started on a second floor balcony of the building.  The fire then spread to the eaves and into the attic.

The blaze was under control in 10 minutes and out in 40 minutes.

A 55-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation.  She was treated and released at the scene.

The building sustained moderate damage.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Assisting the Marquette City Fire Department were members of the Marquette Police Department and MGH paramedics.
