ISHPEMING -- Paul Bonetti, longtime owner of Congress Pizza in Ishpeming, announced Thursday that he's selling the business.
Bonetti is selling the pizzeria and bar to Mike Koski, whom he promised to sell the business to 10 years ago when he hired Koski.
Bonetti has owned the congress for 34 years and says his last day will be on Memorial Day, with Koski taking over on June 1.
"I guess it's a bittersweet moment for me," said Bonetti. "I'm happy on one side, but also, of course, I'm going to be sad. I'm going to miss everybody, and I really want to thank everybody for all their loyal patronage throughout the years."
Bonetti says he's looking forward to having the summer off to play golf, watching all the Packer games in the fall, and skiing in the winter. He says he has no plans after that.
