JACKSON (AP) -- A Jackson woman, found driving a mobile methamphetamine lab with an infant in the car, has been ordered to serve 20 months to 20 years in prison.
Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain sentenced 20-year-old Elizabeth Rickman Thursday for maintaining a lab in the presence of a child.
She was caught Dec. 6 in Jackson with a plastic bag of meth and materials indicative of a lab in the car. Her boyfriend's then eight-month-old son was behind the passenger seat. Rickman told the judge she was "very remorseful."
Her lawyer, Wendell Jacobs, says a neighbor introduced her to methamphetamine when she was a teen, and the drug sent her on a "downward spiral."
