SOUTH RANGE -- The South Range VFW has teamed up with Jeffers High School students to make sure the Mountain View Cemetery looks good for Memorial Day.

Tuesday, a few members were replacing old wooden crosses above veterans' graves with new composite crosses made by the Jeffers shop class.

Students will be helping to place flags in the more than 300 new crosses Wednesday.

The VFW paid for all of the improvements which included the installation of 26 flagpoles.
