ESCANABA -- Holy Name students in Escanaba have only two days left before school ends, and Tuesday, the first grade class took in two famous landmarks.

First grade teacher Mrs. Mileski took her 23 students to Ludington Park.  They toured the Delta County Historical Museum and Sandpoint Lighthouse.

It is a yearly fieldtrip that the students take before the summer break, and it was the first time that many of them had been inside the lighthouse or seen the museum's artifacts.

"I'm super excited," said first grader Adam Willette.  "It's going to be a fun day.  I'm going to see a great view of Lake Michigan.  It's going to be really fun, and the water is really blue, and I can't wait to go on top of the lighthouse."

The students planned on heading to their teacher's house afterwards for ice cream and games.
