MARQUETTE -- Another seventh grade Bothwell Middle School class prepared to rough it at Bay Cliff Camp Monday morning.

The Bay Cliff Science Camp is a 40 year tradition at the school.

Kids will visit a bog and perform experiments.

Teachers say they're always tweaking the camp throughout the years to make it better, but it continues to be the highlight of many students at Bothwell educational career.

Although most of these kids have grown up in the U.P., the trip will take many of them outside their comfort zone.

"You would think that they would have had a lot of outdoor experience, but they have TV and Internet, just like any other kids in the world," said student Jennifer Tapolcai.  "And, so far for a lot of them, this is a big deal.  They're going to get some really new experiences."

They shipped out Monday morning and won't be back until Friday.
