We all have to make choices, and the Seed Sowers want to help you make the right ones

REPUBLIC -- The Seed Sowers are a musical ministry of men and women, and Sunday they performed at Republic-Michigamme School.

The free show was about making the right religious choices in life.

Patrons had the option of donating to support local charities, like the Greater Ishpeming Commission on Aging, St. Vincent's de Paul, and Marquette County Cancer Care.

"When we originally started this ministry, we wanted to come up with a venue and use our talents to give something back to the community, and this is how we came up with it," says ministry member Debbie Kinnunen.  "And we like to dance and sing; what's more fun than to do this?"

The performers enacted a scene where they gave their burdens to God in the form of labeled boxes.

The ministry has two more shows this season in Ishpeming and Marquette.  They also perform in the winter around Christmastime.

They've been doing this now for 16 years.
