With warm spring-like weather returning to the U.P., it only seemed appropriate that Saturday should hold the first Marquette Farmer's Market of the year
MARQUETTE -- Live music from a volunteer band set the atmosphere for the Marquette Farmer's Market. This, combined with nice weather, proved to be too hard to resist for many residents.
Vendors said that this was the strongest opening day they can remember.
This year, the market has nearly 50 registered vendors--their highest number yet. The vast majority of them showed up as well, another positive sign.
You can check it out every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., until October 29 when they stop for the winter months.
