The four Neal kids lost their parents last December in a murder-suicide
MARQUETTE -- It's been four months since a murder-suicide in the Sawyer area left four kids orphans.
Roy Neal killed his wife Brooklyn and then committed suicide last December.
The children are with their grandparents, but there are eight people living in their small home in Harvey. Now the family is trying to raise more than $60,000 for an expansion project.
Saturday, a benefit dinner and concert was held at Marquette Mountain.
"These kids lost their mom and dad, so we're trying to get them to be a little bit more comfortable in the world because of this tragedy that happened in their lives," says Brook's aunt, Lisa Miller.
If you'd like to donate to the Houghton-Neal benefit fund, there is an account set up at the U.P. Catholic Credit Union.
Miller has many more benefit events planned.
