A day of sunshine in the U.P.

ISHPEMING -- Friday was another drastic change in U.P. weather as the sun came out and warmed up residents.

Temperatures in the 50s and plenty of sun dried up roads and sidewalks.

Some Ishpeming residents used the nice weather to clean dirt and debris left by the snow in yards, while others just enjoyed the sunshine.

The sunny day provides the perfect atmosphere for the Skerbeck Carnival which started at 4 p.m. Friday and runs until 11 p.m.
