NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- Slippery roads Tuesday resulted in two separate crashes on US-41 in Negaunee Township.

Michigan State Police, along with the Marquette County Sheriff's Department, responded to a crash at the intersection of US-41 and Midway Drive in Negaunee Township.

The crash involved three vehicles just after 6:30 p.m.

Police say an eastbound passenger vehicle lost control and collided with a westbound vehicle which then crashed into a third vehicle.  Two of the drivers were taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Police say speed and slushy road conditions were factors in the accident.

Just down the road, another crash...a pickup truck was traveling on US-41 in Negaunee Township around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday evening when the driver lost control of the vehicle and slid into the ditch.

There were no serious injuries, and no one was taken to the hospital.
