MARQUETTE COUNTY -- The Warrior Relief Fund is just getting started in Marquette County, and the effort is in need of donations as well as volunteers.

The WRF committee is currently made up of local volunteers and veterans who have an interest in ensuring community awareness and support of local service members.

The goal of the WRF is to bring no-fuss financial support to families who endure a loss or major injury to their military member while serving during a deployment.

"If it has to do with ramps or if it's just the quick cash assistance for casualties until the money has been dispersed, those monies will be made available to Marquette County families and their soldiers," said Karen Hattamer of Gwinn.

For more information about how you can donate or volunteer, check out the Warrior Relief Fund website.
