MARQUETTE -- It's been about a month since an 8.9 magnitude earthquake devastated northeast Japan.

People from all over the world have been coming together to help the country recover, including organizations in the Upper Peninsula.

Redfella Records is sponsoring a Japan benefit concert Thursday night at Upfront & Company in Marquette.  All of the proceeds will go directly to Japan.

Organizers say attendees can expect a wide range of acts.

"Well, there's Matthew Doke.  He'll be performing first.  He is a solo acoustic guitar player, and then after that it's Midnight Manual, which is a classical rock band," said organizer Julia Convissor.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m.

A five dollar donation is suggested.
