DELTA COUNTY -- The Delta County YMCA has an annual goal of raising $100,000 for their Strong Kids Campaign, and they're getting close to reaching it.
Their Strong Kids Campaign kicked off in January and ended in March, and so far, they've raised over $85,000.
Over 400 people have already contributed.
The money that is raised helps fund summer day camps, youth activities, and even memberships for families who may need extra assistance.
"It's extremely important," said Hadele Peacock of the Delta County YMCA. "Last year, we helped over 775 families just here in Delta County. The majority of the people that do benefit are children, however, we do help low income families and special needs adults."
The YMCA expects to reach $100,000 by this September.
