MARQUETTE -- A Negaunee woman was in Marquette District Court Monday on charges of embezzling money from a Marquette business.

Annette Cox is charged with embezzling between $1,000 and $20,000 from Anthony Automotive between October 2007 to December 2010.

Cox faces up to five years in prison and $10,000 or three times the amount embezzled in fines.

After a joint request made by both the prosecution and the defense was accepted, the preliminary hearing was moved to May 13 at 1:30 p.m.

Cox remains free on bond.
