DOYLE TOWNSHIP -- Doyle Township firefighters were back at the scene of a fire Monday morning to put out remaining hot spots after a house burned down Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived at a Doyle Township house engulfed in flames around 2:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon and worked until 8:30 p.m. to put out the blaze.
The home of Willy and Patty Tyler, located on North Gulliver Road, was deemed a total loss after fire destroyed the house and the attached garage.
There is no word on the cause of the fire, but the Tyler's house was insured.
Fire departments that responded to the fire were from Doyle Township, Germfask Township, Thompson Township, Hiawatha Township and Manistique Public Safety.
