NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- New Marquette County families who weren't able to have a baby shower of their own had the chance to celebrate with the community Friday.

Nearly 60 families came out to the 16th Annual Marquette County Community Baby Shower.

Area service agencies were on hand to tell new parents what's available to help them.

"We have a multitude of different community agencies, everywhere from the health department, head start, YMCA, Women's Center, Lutheran Social Services, all different kinds of services that can help give information to families," said organizer Lori Marta.

Families were also able to pick up some necessary items for newborns, and win prizes, like strollers.
