HOUGHTON -- A Houghton woman accused of writing thousands of dollars worth of bad checks is heading to trial.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jennifer Nettell is facing multiple felony charges in two separate cases.

Her attorney told a judge on Monday that they had been unable to reach an agreement and would need to set trial dates.

One trial will be scheduled for June with the second possibly in late July.

Charges against Nettell include six counts of uttering and publishing, two counts of writing a check against a closed account, and one count of common law fraud.  If convicted, she faces up to 14 years in prison.
