KINGSFORD -- The Bellin Health Family Medical Center in Kingsford has been temporarily closed for cleanup due to mold found at the facility.
A testing company found mold after employees complained for sustained headaches and eye problems.
"The testing company found elevated levels of carbon dioxide," said Bellin Medical Group Vice President Amy Dettman. "As they further inspected the facility, they found evidence of mold in the clinic's basement."
The clinic is scheduled to be closed for three days for cleanup, expecting to open on Thursday or Friday. A cleanup crew will eliminate the mold, and maintenance experts will look into the increased carbon dioxide problem.
Patients at the Kingsford clinic can be seen at Bellin Health Family Medical Center-Iron Mountain.
