HANCOCK -- Mont Ripley Ski Hill closed for the season earlier this week, but management says it wasn't for lack of snow.

On Tuesday, crews were already preparing the hill for spring and looking ahead to off-season projects.

Maintenance work will include new pipes and electrical upgrades for their snow-making equipment.

The hill officially closed on Sunday, after seeing a drop-off after the February thaw.

Overall it was a good season, but employees are hoping for more big storms next year.
