ST. IGNACE -- Carole Jeanne Hague, a 61-year-old Boyne City woman, was found dead on a cross country ski trail west of St. Ignace, according to the Boyne City Police Department.

Authorities were contacted on Saturday, March 19, by Hague's brother, stating that his sister had gone missing.

Hague hadn't been seen or heard from since the evening of March 15.  Officers interviewed friends and family which lead them to contact the St. Ignace State Police Post.

Michigan State Police troopers contacted Hague's cell service carrier, and officers were given information on the last time Hague's cell phone contacted a cellular tower.  This information lead to the discovery of Hague's vehicle.

The Michigan State Police started a search of the ski trails west of St. Ignace, where they located Hague early Sunday morning.  The Boyne City Police Department was notified that Hague was found deceased.

The Michigan State Police are investigating the incident, but foul play is not suspected.
