Summer youth opportunity at Pictured Rocks

MUNISING -- There's a new summer work opportunity for local young people at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

The Youth Conservation Corps is recruiting teens, ages 15 to 18, to work with National Park Service professionals on conservation-related projects in the Munising district of the lakeshore.  Projects will include facility improvements and cleanup, trail maintenance, and the construction of steps, bridges and boardwalks. 

The program will begin June 6 and run eight to ten weeks.  Recruits will work 40 hour weeks and receive $7.40 an hour.
