The Superior Dome in Marquette was so packed Saturday it was hard to find a parking spot outside!

MARQUETTE -- Strollers, toddlers, teens, and adults poured into the Superior Dome, all for the Pump Up the Dome event.

The smell of popcorn filled the air as kids of all ages enjoyed inflatable fun.  And for the little ones too young to bounce, there was a large sandbox in the middle of the track they could enjoy.

Some of the kids who were babysitting their younger siblings weren't expecting to find the activities as amusing as they did.

It turned out, Pump Up the Dome was an event the whole family really could enjoy together.

"When I first came here, I didn't think it would be that much fun because I thought I was going to be one of the oldest, but no, actually there's a lot of older kids here than me, and I had a lot more fun than I hoped," says Ishpeming resident Chase Larmour.

Pump Up the Dome was a fund-raiser for NMU athletics.
