A winter storm, readying itself in the southern plains, started to lift towards the U.P. Tuesday night, totally clouding up the skies overnight and keeping temperatures in the upper 20s. By mid-morning, the snow started in earnest across the southern counties, and moderately heavy snow will spread across the whole U.P. during the afternoon. Winds out of the East will keep temperatures close to the freezing mark, meaning the snow will be wet, heavy stuff.
More snow is on the way, and in the U.P. that's nothing new for March.
Question of the day: Have you had enough of winter?
