HOUGHTON -- A Hancock man facing a parole violation entered a guilty plea earlier this month.
Ronald Kemppainen entered the guilty plea to parole violation at his parole hearing on March 1. Now, the parole board will decide if he will continue his parole or be sent back to prison.
Last year, two juries could not reach a verdict in trials which accused Kemppainen of murder and arson charges.
However, he was seen drinking from a bottle of alcohol before and after the fatal fire he was accused of setting, which is a violation of his parole.
The parole board is expected to reach a decision by mid-March.
