MARQUETTE -- Edward James Charboneau, 40, was in court and on trial Monday in Marquette.  He's charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct.

The jury was picked by noon and the first witnesses were called after lunch.

Charboneau is accused of having sex with a female under the age of 13 on repeated occasions.

He was arrested April 14 of last year.

If convicted, he could get life in prison.
