It's the next phase of development for the Ripley Building
MARQUETTE -- Developers reached a new stage in the Founder's Landing Development Project Friday morning.
The ground was a little hard, but it didn't keep the group of city leaders and organizers from digging into the next phase of development on the Ripley Building.
It's the next condo project for the area on Founder's Landing; five of the eight units to be constructed have already been sold.
"This is great for the community because this is really the community's front door, the harbor," says architect Barry Polzin. "It brings people to live down here. The more people that live down here, shop and work downtown."
Ripley Building Condos will stand next to the already constructed condos in the Baraga Building.
Construction work on the hotel project is set to begin in April.
