After a round of snow that brought about 2-4 inches of snow across the U.P. yesterday, the weather will take a bit of a turn over the weekend.
Light southeasterly winds will allow temperatures to rise into the 30s today. This will change any lingering snow showers along the Lake Michigan shoreline to change over to some rain during the afternoon. These, however, will clear out by the evening, leaving just generally cloudy skies behind.
Winds will turn to the north overnight, though, and start to pick up, bringing in some colder air and kicking up a few flurries north. This will drop highs tomorrow down into the mid 20s and closer to 20 on Sunday. The silver lining to this will be the fact that most of the U.P. will see a clearing trend through Saturday and into Sunday as the winds gradually die down. All things considered, it won't be a bad weekend at all-- especially for the Copper Dog 150.
Peering into our Magic 8-Ball-- er, our crystal ball for next week, it looks like a storm could be brewing into the middle of the work week. Is it going to be a big snow producer, or will it be all rain?
