RAPID RIVER -- The Rapid River Key Club and student council hosted the third annual health fair Wednesday afternoon as a way to encourage people to live and eat healthier.

Twenty-five Delta County vendors attended, offering a variety of health and educational topics like free blood sugar and cholesterol screenings.  There were also displays that highlighted the importance of proper nutrition.

The students that spearheaded the event did it to promote teen community service.

"We definitely had to have a lot of volunteers.  All these kids running around are volunteers helping out.  It means a lot to me.  We're learning how to be healthy and grow up in a right lifestyle," said Key Club President, Caty Michaelson.

Area law enforcement officials were also on hand to discuss teen driving safety with parents and kids.
