ESCANABA -- It's not spring yet, but sixth, seventh, and eight graders at Holy Name School in Escanaba have already decided on their springtime service project.

The kids are part of a Bridge Club, and they hold a monthly meeting to discuss how they can help the community.

The kids suggested different neighbors who may need extra yard work assistance, but they couldn't narrow it down to just one person, so they decided to help three elderly neighbors.

Sixth grader Joshua Anthony said he enjoys being able to help others.

"We like helping three elderly people that we know, and we will clean up their yard, clean up the leaves, mow the lawn, patch up the grass," said Anthony.

The kids will hold their service project on a Saturday sometime in April.
