DEARBORN (AP) -- Gasoline prices are up 5.4 cents, making the Michigan statewide average $3.18 for a gallon of self-serve regular.
AAA Michigan reports that this is 57.9 cents a gallon higher than last year at this time.
Of the regions chosen for the weekly survey, the cheapest price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Saginaw/Bay City area, where it's $3.10 per gallon.
The highest average was being reported in Marquette area at $3.27.
Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
The weekly report shows eight regions in the state and does not necessarily reflect the price in every town.
