GLADSTONE -- Two men are recovering after the truck they were in went through the ice in Delta County.

According to the Gladstone Public Safety Department, this happened at Kipling Boat Launch, just north of Butler's Island.

Matt Pelton of Gladstone and his passenger Paul Deneau of Escanaba were driving off of the ice just before 6 p.m. Monday.

The truck broke through the ice and water began to come inside.  Both men jumped out of the truck, getting very wet, but making it to safety.

Deneau was taken to the emergency room for treatment of hypothermia and frost bite.  Pelton was treated and released at the scene.

This makes the second truck currently in the water at the north end of Butler's Island.  Both are scheduled to be removed Tuesday.
