GRAND MARAIS -- UPDATE: Saturday, February 19, 1:30 p.m.
According to UP 200 officials, it is now thought that the first musher will be crossing the finish line in Wetmore at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Ryan Anderson of Ray, Minnesota will have a 4 hour and 30 minute mandatory rest in Grand Marais.
With his time from Wetmore to Grand Marais being 5 hours and 2 minutes, it is estimated that he could make the Wetmore finish line by 9:45 p.m. Saturday night.

The UP 200 will not be finishing in Marquette Sunday according to UP Sled Dog Association President Pat Torreano.
Torreano said judges have made the decision that the trail back to Marquette would not be passable and has already cause unwarranted wear and tear on the expensive runners on the mushers' sleds.
The judges have changed the mandatory rest time at the Grand Marais checkpoint from 16 hours plus differential, to 10 hours plus differential.
This means the race will head west, and the UP 200 will end in Wetmore with the first sled dog team expected at about midnight.
