What a difference a weekend makes.
After absolutely frigid temperatures closed out last week, we've seen a marked improvement in temperatures all across Upper Michigan and the Midwest.
South-southwesterly winds have been bringing in mild air to the area, and that will continue throughout the rest of the week. While temperatures today will be topping out in the 30s to near 40 in some western spots, tomorrow and Thursday look to be milder still with highs into the 40s. This is all despite more clouds than sun over the course of today and tomorrow and even some scattered rain showers on Thursday.
Overnight lows will still be dipping to near freezing or a bit below, though, so some refreezing of wet roads is possible and some patch fog is also possible, especially Thursday night--something to keep in mind for any early morning travel.
There's big changes on the way for Friday, however, so make sure you keep an eye on that by checking in at our weather page.
