CASPIAN -- The search for a missing man in Iron County has a sad ending.

According to the Caspian-Gaastra Public Safety Department, on Tuesday, February 8, around noon, they were told of a missing person.

Search and rescue personnel from several agencies were called out to help find the Caspian resident.  The 33-year-old man's body was found around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The name of the victim and further information about the incident is not being released at this time out of consideration to the family.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

However, officials wish to remind everyone to dress appropriately when going outdoors in the winter months.

Daytime temperatures on February 8 struggled to get into the single digits.

Assisting in the search for the man were members of the Iron County Sheriff's Department, Michigan State Police from the Iron River Post, Michigan DNR, Iron County Search and Rescue, Iron River Police, and the Caspian-Gaastra Fire Department.
