ESCANABA -- An Escanaba man is dead after a weekend ORV crash.

According to the Delta County Sheriff's Department, they were called to the Wells area around 6 p.m. Saturday.  The crash happened in a parking lot.

The driver apparently lost control, and the machine rolled on top of him.

The driver of the ORV, identified as 56-year-old Nicholas Kolich, was taken to OSF Saint Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
